Mohamed Alimrani
A Palestinian visual artist born in 1994 in Gaza and is currently based in Paris. His creative journey spans multiple disciplines, including design, theater, and visual arts. He completed his education at the University of Applied Sciences in Gaza, earning a degree in design engineering, and also holds a theater diploma from a local theater institution. In 2019, Alimrany participated in the "Comparative Meditations" exhibition with his work Twilight Saga, an event featuring over 60 artists, organized by Shababek Institution with the support of the A. M. Qattan Foundation. That same year, he contributed a video performance titled Self-Identity at a video art festival in Palestine, held in partnership with Dar Al-Kalima University College of Arts & Culture.
Alimrani held his first solo exhibition, Philosophy of the Body, in late 2018 at Eltiqa Group for Contemporary Art in Gaza, where he also participated in the collective exhibition A Color of This World in early 2018. In addition to his artistic practice, Alimrany has dedicated time to education, particularly as a trainer in art therapy for war trauma at the Tamer Institute for Community Education in Gaza. Throughout his career, Alimrani has taken part in various group exhibitions, including Malath Al-Fan (Haven of Art) at the Iltiqa Gallery in Gaza. In 2022, he was awarded a residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris. Later that year, he exhibited in the collective Lumières sur Gaza, supported by several French organizations. Alimrani’s artworks and projects reflect his ongoing commitment to representing the Palestinian experience, blending personal and collective aspects of his identity within the context of his cultural and political surroundings
